I absolutely love my 1900 that was purchased back in 2017 for $51 after a coupon so, considering the inflation, $54 in today's money is a steal. Backpack is used daily making use of most of the 31L of inner space. The only caution flag would be the claim of 10 year warranty. Swissgear site is showing backpacks are warranted for 5 years and when I tried filing a claim for my 8-year old backpack, it said that the warranty has expired.

I also have one for many years but have since refrained from using it as it lacks a luggage handle strap to put on my rolling bag at the airport. I've since begun using a much cheaper (priced) larger backpack from Amazon but it seems to have lasted for numerous trips

Maybe a different model? This one does have a strap to mount it on your carry on's handle

Really need a new backpack to replace the one I have now used for over 25 years. I want another 25 year backpack.

But struggling with what one to buy to get another 25 years. Is Thule or SwissGear tend to be better?

I currently have a Thule from Amazon and ordered the SwissGear Travel Tech Elite Laptop Backpack. Will keep one and return the other.

But how in the world do I figure out which one will last longer?
