The newer model is also on sale for $5 more than this older version. Adds spotlight and water resistance. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BWX39...ZXWPL?th=1

Do you need a subscription to use these or can you save the videos on a micro-SD card?

I have the sd card setup and it works but i would spend the extra $5 for the newer model cause i have 4 and these and they disconnect a lot even on their own 2.4 ghz channel. I got them for when they used to be $5 during BF etc

$29.98 with the outdoor power adapter required for all-weather use, unfortunately.

Depends on where you mount yours. I have mine hooked up to a standard USB-C charger lightbulb socket adapter; both the socket and the camera are under eaves so it's not like they get wet or anything and they've been working fine for years

For what I understand, you need to buy another unit to use SD card.
