Meanwhile, use of AdAway is legit perfection. I haven't had issues with it since I started using it almost 8 years ago. If a person doesn't have a choice or can't think of any other advantages to root and/or firmware like LineageOS, it's better than nothing if you don't mind random issues.

Is it possible to get this deal and transfer minutes/text to his existing tracfone (flipphone)?
If yes, do I need to do by calling tracfone or can be done online?

I've had zero issues on Pixel devices since the setting was added in 2018.
"Private DNS server cannot be accessed" only occurs on certain public wifi networks like airports.

AdAway doesn't have any issue anywhere, though.
And I like the Magisk implementation of ReVanced Photos, YouTube, and YT Music. I can run those without root using microG, of course, but that has its own disadvantages and I still have to run stock Photos in parallel to get gallery functionality from Google Camera (or deal with inevitable "update Photos" notification every time I open it, plus the bug where I have to select the account every time I open the ReVanced Photos app).
I'm not suggesting this is problem for the average user. It's the setup I like and I prioritize on my phones. I did a Boost promo to get the Moto G Stylus 5G (2023) specifically because I could root it and do all of these things.
Truly, to each their own.
