It's really simple to get a different number, text MINC to 611611 and change it. It's not a TF problem (Verizon goes through a lot of numbers) it can happen with any provider.

Anyone know if the bootloader can be unlocked on this?Motorolas seem to be hit or miss, but the Moto Stylus 5G (2023) I got from Boost last year was bootloader unlockable after the phone was SIM unlocked (180 days back then).Blah blah blah, no one roots phones...except people like me who prefer AdAway to VPN-based solutions (because I have need to use a real VPN on a regular basis) and like unlimited Google Photos without the annoying caveats of non-root solutions.

I have a couple question for seasoned tracfone customers. My gram has a current one year plan that expires in October. If I buy her this and add the pin will it extend from October or from today, if it can be used for existing at all?

The air time and service minutes/text/ data comes with the phone and is baked into the SIM card. There is no pin. You can activate the new phone using the phone number from your existing TracFone, and service will get combined. If you want to then go back to your original handset, you reactivate it. So it ends up being a multi-step process if you want to effectively add this promotional air time to your existing TracFone service. All this can be done online on TracFone website.

If she on pay as you go plan it doesn't stack with Unlimited Talk/Text plans unless buy the Unlimited Talk/Text 24GB phones


If don't plan to use the device they have 2 pack phones can stack 2 years instead.

There is no separate PIN for the bundled plan. Here's the DIY Guide [reddit.com] to transfer existing service to the new phone (you can do it anytime before existing service expires and the balance will be combined). If you want to use the current phone (instead of the new Moto G), wait a day or two then reactivate the inactive device (by keeping phone #) in your account.

Activate one then a few days later activate the other, choose option to keep current number - don't need to wait for service to expire since balance combines. (If you want both phones unlocked wait the 60 days till first is unlocked before activating 2nd one).

The phone number that Tracfone gave me is bombarded with spam calls daily. It is 3PM and I've gotten 13 spam calls just today.
Not worth the headache.
