Is this kind of product scam? Can I run a full cycle without dishes to achieve the same result? Of course we can add some lemon juices etc.

Definitely not a scam. It does a better job than lemon juice, straight citric acid, white vinegar and all the DIY cleaners I've tried. And I've tried a lot of them.

Thanks. I clicked the link and I realized that I got one bottle last year from Amazon for $1.74, but I am not sure if it works or not as our dishwasher is super clean (I always scrape and wash my dishes before putting them into the machine).

Will hold out for lower price.

Scrape, OK, but don't wash them beforehand

I've used a cup of vinegar and it seems to clean my stainless dishwasher pretty well ... Is this product for people with really hard water or some other issue

Not a great price; this is frequently on sale and for a better price. That being said it isn't worth it at any price. This made my entire house smell like chemicals for over a week!

Its for people who want their house to smell like fragrant chemicals. This product reaks. I tried it and my dishwasher was slightly cleaner but it was NOT worth the smell. Unless you have hard water or other residue vinegar works great.

I would consider this a scam. I tried it and it did not clean better than vinegar and it absolutely STANK of chemical scent for a week after!

I ordered it twice and both times they put it in a flimsy cardboard bag and it had busted. Complete mess!

That's why your dishwasher does not smell good. Washing off greasy / sticky stuffs helps you to keep both dish and dishwasher clean. And lighter cycle saves you water and electricity.

Smell is very, very bad and lingered into my next wash of dishes. I don't think I can recommend it for anyone unless this chemical bomb is a one off, which judging by your review, is not.
