Are bifacial solar panels really worth it? Do they actually produce a noticeable difference versus traditional panels?

Same question. I think if you have tracking type set up maybe?

Most of the testing I've seen on youtube says they make a 2-3-4% difference if you fail to meet ideal circumstances.

For ideal gain of 10-13% you need them to be:
-Elevated (like 6+ feet off the ground)
-A reflective surface like white rock or a shiny tin foil blasting the back with rays
(this gets harder to do with more panels in a blob like a carport because of the shadows cast)

Will Prowse says it's not worth it - better off just buying more panels: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7ZRAaAaoIk . Having said that, this seems like a good deal on smallish panels, bifacial or otherwise. Free shipping on solar panels you don't usually get unless you buy a whole pallet.

Yeah I've seen a few YouTubers do some tests and it's just 10-20% more at most but rarely is that much more efficient.

Does anyone have an install guide or can tell me exactly what to buy to mount three of these to my asphalt shingle shed roof? L brackets, z brackets, mid clamps, end clamps, ground clamps, unistrut, rails, mini rails, flashing, etc. etc. My brain is frazzled.

Thank you!! The listing says &tracking bracket, what is this bracket and should I really be expecting it to be included at this price? I purchased it thinking it was a mistake in the listing at this price. Either way, I am in for 3 at this price for my portable air conditioner.

you'll probably need 3 more as you shouldn't expect to get anywhere near the max wattage except in ideal conditions, as in 12 noon on a clear day in the summer. all other times a small fraction of that 195w.

I do believe they can offer some advantages in placement flexibility. One setup I saw, the guy just mounted them on the ground, standing straight up aligned with the poles, so one side is hit in the morning, and the other in the afternoon. Said that gave significantly better results than any other static mounting option for single sided panels

I got these bifacial ones during the last deal and they are performing worser than my regular panels. During my tests, which I've repeated for many days, my 2 100w renogy panels produces like 150+W while a single 195W bifacial produces 120W at the same angle and everything.

I have 2 of these which I got during the last deal and it performs worser than regular panels in my experience. During my tests, which I have repeated for several days, I was getting about 150W from my 2 Renogy 100w panels, while one of the 195W bifacial produces only like 120W. I have it setup next to each other at the same angle and everything.
