Brought several of these trimmer many years ago with 20V Lithium battery and they just keep running without any problem. Beware this is tool only.

I paid about $100 for this about a month ago. Complete package with tool and x2 batteries. I think its OK for basic trimming. As in grass or light plants. I feel I want something with more POWER after using this.

Got one of these refurbished a few years back as per previous poster. Still working, that one came with a 4ah battery.

They are lightweight and given my small property works well for trimming and edging.

One thing people don't like is the small spool and the line is very thin. I buy different braided line and wind my own line. Also there is only one line to cut the grass as opposed to the double ended ones. Motor is ok but may struggle in thick grass/weeds.

One the plus side I like the easy feed without having to bump the end. Since it has wheels, edging is easy once you figure how to rotate the head. Expands in length and has an adjustable head and trimming guard. I also have an adapter that takes Ryobi batteries so saves me buying Worx specific ones.

Hope this helps someone decide.

Nice. I was the same and bought a rGo trimmer to match my lawn mower and it's dual string 56v. It's too much power for my suburban lawn so I went back to the Worx.

I can only imagine how many micro/nano plastic particles this thing sheds while in use. What are the alternatives?
Scissors for grass and gloves for weeds.

I have had the prior gen version for years. Great tool. You can refill the string cartridges with your brand of choice. But, I recommend getting a Worx battery adapter to use your eco system of 20v batteries, e.g. DeWalt in my case.

I bought this at the $43 sale price. I like it. Much better design to turn back and forth from trimmer to edger than the Ryobi versions. These are unlocked and turned in the middle of the pole. Ryobi has a stupid foot release method near the head. That's fine initially. But since it's where the action is, grass clippings and dirt get into the turn crevice and jam things up.

I agree with another commenter that the spool is small and the included line is too thin. I already rewrapped with .80

This link directs to a very good secure adapter to use Ryobi 18v batteries if you don't have Worx batteries. Prime Day sale for $16:
