Anyone notice how these are slightly oversized? They're an extremely tight fit in both of my electronics deadbolts that are different brands.

The shelf life will expire long before the 400 times of recharging

These made in China Amazonbasics aren't going to last very long. These Chinese batteries good to 15-20 recharge cycles before they stop charging. The black label made in Japan were so much better. These are very inexpensive that even at 20 charge cycles are worth it

As others mention, these are not good quality. I only use them in cheap solar decorations my wife buys for the yard.

Do you have them? Is this from personal experience? Nope. You are a liar.
From my personal experience I have a set that's lasted me well over 5 years and they still work just fine. These are actually way better than any type of name brands for bought whether they be Energizer rayovac or Duracell.

I'm speaking from personal experience with multiple brands and types of rechargeable batteries sizes as well.
These are not the best but they're definitely not the worst. So these are most definitely better than any store-bought rechargeable brand such as rayovac Duracell or Energizer. I've had all of the big-name brands bulge or overcharge and destroy really good chargers. The Amazon brand do have vent holes so you will not have any type of overheating issues and I have had a AAA and a AA set last me well over 5 years and hundreds of recharges.
As far as not being the greatest, they don't hold maximum voltage as long as more expensive brands from Panasonic and such.
For the price though he's a freaking great they are not adding to the landfill in a few months like the store-bought brands. The vents for the heat alone make these better than most of what's available.

The better deal was last week, they were 24 for about $18 and those can be recharged 1000 times.

I put them in all of my solar lights, and now they stay on through the night.

Wait until Prime day, they'll probably have a similar deal

About 3/4 of the comments in the battery comments section range from useless to ignorant.
1. 400 charges is a weekly charge x almost 8 YEARS. (Just about) no one does that. They die of some other abuse that the user generally blames on the battery.
2, The high capacity (over 2000mAh) of ALL, yes ALL NiMh do not have the longevity of lower capacity. This includes Eneloop. Higher capacity are even worse.
3, Very few people have the equipment/ability to actually TEST them. This makes most of the comments not quantitatively useful.

I bought an 8-pack a year ago simply to try them out. I had low expectations. I have equipment to charge them properly, and to discharge them accurately.
All of them were about/above 2200mAh @ 0.5A. All stayed above 2000mAh @2.5A.
Reliability? Haven't had them long enough to know, but they are doing well after 1 year......EXCEPT one died early on in testing. I've never had a new battery do that.
So, not top notch. but damn cheap and decent for the price.

those were 2000 MAH, these are 2400 MAH. Depending on circumstances each has their positives... most people will never even come close to doing 400 charge cycles.

Just a data point, I've used this type of cell from most of the major names at different points over about the last decade. I've been using the lithium rechargeables lately and been liking them a lot more. They've come a long way in the past few years and should last a very long time compared to nimh

Ya I have a few of these and they don't fit in the AA battery organizer that I printed whereas my other batteries all fit snuggly.
