Testing and using this power bank went well. It has one display with eight lights: Seven lights indicate the battery level of the power bank and the final light indicates the status of the wireless charging. The clear round display also serves as a button as well. It also has a smart feature, starting automatically when wirelessly attached to your phone. Checking the supported protocols with my tester showed it supported just about all of them: PD3.0, QC2.0, QC3.0, QC4.0, Samsung and Huawei fast-charging protocols and more.
I charged my phone wirelessly and though I don't have a good way to measure the throughput via this method, it did charge fast! I would think the charging level was near 15 watts. Later I charged my iPhone using the USB-C connection. I was able to use a USB tester to see the output was near 20 watts. My phone went from 7% to 93% in an hour and thirteen minutes. I would have better results if I would have looked at my test a bit earlier as the charging rate slows down after 80%. So very good results overall. This test only used about half of the capacity of the Minthouz powerbank.
I tested the temperature while charging wirelessly by inserting the phone and MintHouz into a sock. A thermometer showed temperatures reached 102°f which seemed warm to touch, but not overly hot. And still well within the safe range for electronics and to be expected for such high output.
According to the manual, if you charge a phone wirelessly and use the USB-C output at the same time, the output will be reduced to 5 watts on each. On the side of the powerbank, it indicates the total power would be 15 watts between the two in this situation.
Charging the powerbank: My USB tested showed the Minthouz powerbank charging at 16 watts though a USB-C charger that was capable of up to 87 watts. It still takes a while to charge this powerbank as it has a good sized capacity. The powerbank also supports charge-through, meaning charging a cellphone wirelessly while charging itself with the USB-C input, however in this case the input wattage dropped down to ~7 watts and the wireless charging was reduced. However this is very handy for overnight charging as one cord can charge the powerbank and phone at while you sleep.
I took this powerbank with me on a weeklong vacation and it was a real help. It felt good in the hand with the smooth design and it stuck to my phone's wireless charging case pretty well considering the mass of this charger. It would not fall off, unless you shook the phone or created some abnormal force. I used the Minthouz powerbank to charge our phones and a drone battery when out hiking. It has been a great asset to us for the month we have owned this powerbank.
