Thinking about pulling the trigger on this tv. Anyone from the community have any insight? Whats the tech behind mini LED? I'm behind the times when it comes to tv tech with upgrades happening as fast as they are..TIA

Mini-led is the top of the line tech outside of OLED. The high end mini-led TV's are approaching OLED levels of contrast, but with MUCH higher brightness than any OLED. That said, this model only has a peak brightness of 600 nits (high end mini-led are 3,000+ nits) and has a rather low amount of dimming zones. These low end mini-led TV's kind of defeat the purpose of mini-led. It's still a decent looking TV, but if you can spring a few extra bucks, you're better off getting something with better brightness and more dimming zones, like last year's TCL QM7, for similar price.
