Mini-led is the top of the line tech outside of OLED. The high end mini-led TV's are approaching OLED levels of contrast, but with MUCH higher brightness than any OLED. That said, this model only has a peak brightness of 600 nits (high end mini-led are 3,000+ nits) and has a rather low amount of dimming zones. These low end mini-led TV's kind of defeat the purpose of mini-led. It's still a decent looking TV, but if you can spring a few extra bucks, you're better off getting something with better brightness and more dimming zones, like last year's TCL QM7, for similar price.

Having said this. Even at 600 nits it's better than most things in this price range. I would however jump up to the $800-1000 price range and get over 120hz as well, not for refresh but for better quality everythibf

I bought this Saturday. It's great for the price. It's not OLED but unless you're in a very bright room, it's absolutely fine with the 600 nits of brightness. Color accuracy out of the box is great, refresh rate is 144 not 60 hz like others have said. The 2024 model has a nearly (or exactly) identical model number so research can be confusing as that one isn't mini-led and is 60 hz.

The only thing I really dislike is the Fire TV operation system but I use an Apple TV to avoid that.

I just bought this Sunday and it was delivered yesterday. Is it easy to price match with Amazon ?

EDIT: i was able to get a $40 price adjustment. i first chatted with amazon and he told me i'd have to repurchase and return the other one and that's the only way. i then tried chat again and was given the price adjustment so i don't have to return. what an odd policy for certain items.

75 inches is 144hz, because its ADS Pro panel. Lowers are VA with 60hz. ADS Pro has lesser contrast than VA. But if you don't care about blacks, this gives better viewing angle and uniform brightness. I personally ordered the qm5k because I want good image rather than fast image, 75 inches has 312 dimming zones. qm5k matches the qm6k picture. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4...GnU&t=227s daytime performance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOHn-T0yvjs . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o...Mk&t=1341s night time performance. I think we've been conditioned to view Samsung, Sony, LG etc as superior but when you look at reviews it doesn't seem to add up TCL and Hisense consistently seem to have overwhelmingly positive reviews along with customers who are so excited about the money saved. Both seem equal in quality lately I think historically maybe not but currently yes they seem both on par with each other and also do well.
