If your poor & on gov cheese, then you qualify for reduced annual prime membership. Same thing if your a student & have an edu email. Alternatively, cancel your $150/yr membership & have your kid sign up & authorize you as a member user for $60/yr.

Pro tip: sign up for the monthly membership during amazon prime day or during christmas when you can get the fast ships with prime member price, then cancel after month, so you only pay the month fee, instead of the $150 annual fee.

How long ago did you cancel it? I may have to wait for Black Friday but cancelled last week so hopefully it clears off soon.

While checking pre-approval if the tool doesn't show as qualified, is there a chance of STILL getting approved? Or will you only be approved if you pre-qualify for the card? Thanks.

Thanks! Didn't realize they would approve a day later, just saw the email. Credit limit is only 5k which seems low lol, but maybe cause I already have about 70k in credit with my other chase cards

Application went under review. Before application, it said that I was prequalified.
Anyone know why does this happen? Is there a number to call and ask them about the card status?

Don't ever plan to carry a balance, the 27.X% is borderline criminal

I don't buy too much at amazon but will use for that and WFs. I also wanted this as its one of the few free credit cards left that still adds 1 year warranty to purchases and has 120 day accidental damage coverage

If you got denied, call1-888-204-8630 and talk to them. they'll clear it right away and you can still make it for Prime Day (ending today).

I am piggybacking someone's Prime account and already have a Prime Visa. I applied for wife using my referral link. We did not get an instant decision but a notice within 30 days. Wife has FICO score around 800 and carrying $9000 credit card debt due to 0% BT. At first we thought a 30-day notice means denial, but one day later she received an email about the application approval with $24K credit limit. Another email shows that I scored $50 referral credit, ,ending up $250+$50 Amazon GC sitting in the account. This is sweet!

No, we both share the same Prime accout that is piggybacked someone else's Prime. Neither of us is the primary Prime account holder.

First they just want to make sure it was you who applied, then just some question regarding income & bank(s) and/or other Chase credit cards (just incase we have multiple)
