I'm curious why would anyone want to buy an iRobot this year. The parts are not shared with older models and the build quality is worse (e.g., no dual roller). Their app lacks advanced customization found in Roborock.

they thought the buyout from amazon was a done deal and they fell way behind there R&D on that deal. When amazon backed out last year, Irobot is now scrambling & they just stated to shareholders they may be bankrupt by end of year do to major liquidity issues..
then what happens when the servers get shut down? No more app funtionality and uploads on any of these, etc
I just sent a new Roomba back to Amazon today because a spider jumped out when I opened the sealed manufacturers' box. There was a web and egg sac in the box and everything, must've hitched a ride from Vietnam.
