Dont tell the millions of ipads, Fire tablets and iphones with 4GB or less in circulation working just fine.

that said the cpu (Helio G88)sems pretty dogwater (it's still 129 dollars)

People are awfully dramatic. My Lord it's competing with a fire tablet. It's fine. Just limits multitasking, there's light versions of Android designed for this very thing.

Perhaps the worst tablet deal going around. But Lenovo does have a good deal going which houses the 8300 cpu.

If you want to buy the cheapest tablet that would give you a decent Android experience... I could not recommend anything less then the Lincplus T3 for $90.

I can not recommend this tablet for $130... it is TOO slow, try the $90 tablet if you want a SMOOTH experiance.
And I have this tablet and highly recommend IF YOU WANT THE CHEAPEST.

Over a billion Android devices are using Old OS that no longer get updates. And you are worried?

I'm not worried about them, I'm worried about myself. It's a good habit to avoid devices that are easily vulnerable to malware. Why would you even waste your time and money on unsupported tablets when there are products that are supported long-term for the same price? Bad advice.

It is when you said "for the same price" that is where you lost me.
And there are no CHEAP tablets that are decent which will give you updates. The cheapest is the A9+ which comes with over 87 apps pre installed, most you can never uninstall.
But if you are that worried, you should have a Chromebook. or Pixel tablet. Samsung has already gotten caught stating your device received specific updates when they have not... besides all the bloatware they install. Lenovo got caught for installing spyware that tracks your bank info and EVERYTHING, a third party paid them to install it and Lenovo said YES. People have claimed that there were chips soldiered to apple motherboards that allowed for spyware, apple denies this but I believe it to be true and so does Bloomberg. I also feel the same with the Amazon tablet, they are spying on you for EVERYTHING.

The Amazon Fire Tablet... runs under Android 11 BUT GOOGLE stopped supporting Android 11 YEARS ago. So who is doing the updates... my guess is NOBODY. The only updates you are getting is new software to spy on you and NOTHING for your security. But you think you are protected because of the brand name????

I personally do not know the answer. But I will swear that for $90 your android experience will be 10 times more smooth than this deal for $130. Lincplus T3 is decent for an adult and perfect for any kid. I mention it many times due to this deal is for a LOW LEVEL tablet and for less money you get SO MUCH MORE.

Most of the issue with hack is user error, not by any mean of the exploits from the OS.

They don't care... they actually think if their OS is up to date then they are safe...lol. I know of multiple people and multiple gov't agencies that have gotten hacked... the agencies was targeted and the people were stupid... it is that simple.
