If the TV has same mounting pattern it should hold it but it could be possible that when tilting/swiveling a 98" TV it will hit the walls.
Not sure if that's why limit is 90" or not.

Also, I don't know about you but if I had a 98" TV in my home I'd just have a fixed bracket for it. No way am I swinging my 98" TV around on the mount often.

how hard is it to hang one of these monitors? I have an 85 inch television on a stand right now but it would look much better on the wall

Have you mounted anything else to a wall into a stud before? If so it's about that hard to put the mount up. You usually screw a bracket onto the TV and then lift TV into place. You'll need two people for that size.

The 98 inch TCL requires 600x500 VESA I believe. this one only goes 600X400.

Just barely enough probably isn't the best idea with a $2000+ TV. Good chance the hanging cables, sticks, etc add a pound or so too.

How does this compare to the Costco SANUS full-motion mount? That's over $100 even on sale, so this would be an insanely slickdeal if it's well comparable.

I'd trust that one far more than this third party amazon product. I do not own either exact mount, but I've had friends with similar mounts and it's pretty clear they sacrifice some quality for the price.

I'd say if you're going to be tilting or adjust the TV a lot, spend more and get the costco Sanus or another good brand if there is others. Maybe something on monoprice is good?
