I am curious it's probably the Blackstone design that doesn't have the dome for the full heat.. thus not getting to the 800+ range. However the ooni first gen was also flat and didn't have this problem (other issues like finicky). I'm tempted to say a welding blanket draped on the top may fix the temp problem.

It's one of those things, I buy a bunch of stuff and only use it once. If I really like this maybe I'll upgrade in the future.
