FYI, it looks like "signature edition" has wireless charging, auto-adjusting light, no lockscreen ads, and 32 GB (vs 16) storage for $25 more.

Based on the reviews I've read, the regular paperwhite brightness can be adjusted in seconds. It wasn't worth it to me and I'm trading in my aging 2018 paperwhite for the 2024 16gb paperwhite. May be worth it to someone, just not me.

Not only is changing the lighting super easy..but I've found the auto dimming annoying. You may be sitting there with an external light source, and if you adjust your hand and the sensor goes into shadow, the screen will adjust its lighting. I prefer it staying the same and, if I want it changed, I'll do it myself.

Wireless charging...nice...but for a device that only needs charging once a month, completely unnecessary.
In other words, I personally wouldn't pay more for the Signature edition.
Repeat: Personal opinion.

I paid $150- $30 trade in incentive -$5 for an old kindle trade in = $115 total. (and 5% back using prime visa)
most of the differences are meh EXCEPT
1. there's no ads ($20 option to remove on regular paperwhite) and
2. resale value (having only paid ~$115 for a $200 device is great for resale if you ever want to sell it on Ebay.)

Pay attention to the screen quality issue in these models.
I got my PWS and CSS today. PWS does have a better contrast, however, half of the screen on the PWS is yellowish and pretty visible. The CSS has a sixth of the screen look a little yellow and less noticeable.
I ended up returning the PWS

What is CSS and PWS? I'm assuming PWS is Paper White Signature but what is CSS?

I think CSS is "Colorsoft Signature". Colorsoft is the color e-ink Kindle reader.
