With a little effort you can get the 8 40mm for ~$220 or slightly riskier route at $175. Get a watch 5 off Amazon for $80. It's tradein value is $150 making the 8 ~$140 with tradein. You can get it for $175 if you grab a watch 5 pro off eBay for $55, which has a $175 trade in value, bringing the 8 to $120 + the $55 you spent. The 44mm is ~$28 more.

eBay route slightly riskier cuz it's eBay, and the one I found is stated to be in poor condition (scratches, scuffs) but said to be 100% functional.

and you are right. the watch 7 was 329 and 8 is 379... watch 7 was 250 off and watch 8 200 off so thats the 100 difference.

As far as I can tell the 8 has additional health sensors, antioxidant index and vascular load and a brighter display. Otherwise mostly the same feature-wise.

I saw the deal for the like new/renewed here and ordered, but it never arrived. Amazon wouldn't find a replacement and required me to take a refund. What I can only describe as a fake package arrived instead, and it has to be returned "through hoops" to get the forced refund. Has this happened to anyone else?
