I snagged one at this price about a month or so ago, and I have been very happy with it. As I understand it, this is more in line with the Breville Barista line, just without the integrated grinder (which I read mixed feedback about). I picked up a hand grinder (Kingrinder K6) and have been very happy with the espresso so far after dialing in. Comes with both a pressurized and non-pressurized portafilter.

I'm in the fence… I think the wife likes the auto milq or whatever it is called in bambino plus.. but I thinking this might make a better cup than bambino plus?

I have a Bambino Plus and am very happy with it. I don't see anything mentioned in this that indicates it would brew a better espresso, and the Plus has a better thermal unit I think? The Plus also has the added benefit of the auto frother which is essential for my wife. Happy to be wrong and have an excuse to spend some money though

the 2 second heatup in the plus is indeed a huge plus if not a game changer but the clean-brew-clean requirement for the head somewhat neutralizes those gains

This infuser has a pressure gauge which will let you dial in your course grind more accurately for a better cup. I believe the aluminum heating coil is also a superior design in infuser. I don't use the cream frother in fact I couldn't find any units for sale that didn't include this feature unfortunately

I don't know if the bambino plus has this issue but on my infuser the plastic in the group head melted. When I emailed breville about it they said it's outside warrant and BPA free so it should be ok? I was annoyed all that plastic went into my coffee and I likely drank it. They also offered their repair service for it but it was a couple hundred I believe.

Plastic part I'm referring to is non-removable black plastic next to white ring after unscrewing metal filter here in beginning https://youtube.com/shorts/wXGZAFD1OBk
