The better deal isn't even listed here. The Air Pro's for $299. I snagged.

Those don't have the ability to lock an image in place without the X1 processor do they? (that's a feature I want)

They don't, unless you use their software or their beam / beam pro. I have the regular Air's without the beam / beam pro and the fixed (to the eye) image just doesn't feel good. Anchored image (through software) does make it feel better, but because it was off-board, I always found it to be a little too laggy / delayed. I basically never used the regular Air's because of that. Otherwise the display was fairly good.

I decided to pick this up. The on-board X1 chip should be a huge game changer in terms of experience.

These also support an additional $100 camera that gets plugged in on the bridge which enables 6dof.
