Couple things of note.

This 330ml is smaller than the regular 414ml bottle.
Soylent is significantly worse in terms of macros and cost compared to cooked and blended soybeans.
This bottle of soylent has 320 calories, 19g fat, 28 carbs (3g fiber), and 16g protein.
72g of dry soybeans has 320 calories, 14g fat, 21g carbs (6.5g fiber), and 29g protein.
I personally blend pressure-cooked dry soybeans on the regular and they make for a satisfying meal replacement shake. Oh, and the above example of 72g soybeans costs me $0.16 because soybeans are $1/lb from my local Asian grocer. 10% of the price for 180% of the protein in this linked Soylent.
If you desire Soylent, it's a good deal for Soylent. But if you want soy protein and a meal replacement shake for cheap, just take the time to pressure cook and blend up some soybeans. Takes quite literally 2 minutes of active prep, from washing the beans to blending em up after cooking. Saves you money and gives a superior product with no additives or fillers.

Smooth, thick, and creamy. A bit buttery from the high fat content of soybeans. Fairly neutral as far as blended beans go.

Sarcastic, of course. But as I get older I'm floored by the number of youngins who have no idea about old pop culture references. This being the 'net and 50 years later, populated mostly by youngings, I assumed maybe someone wouldn't know. Threw it there for SDers of a different gen, as I come across a lot of comments on SD that inform me of modern slang or pop refs I don't know. A lot.

Did Soylent fix the "gives you intense gastric distress, pray for death" problem? Have not touch this in seven years after trying one for breakfast and spent the entire work day in the restroom.

So instead of eating a meal, you consume one bottle of this stuff.

Soy beans are horrible for you. Their value is their shelf stable, and that value does not apply to your body.

The science is in, and no one showed up.
If you think in the term of 'hacks' try to the following as a hack:

Do not load up in carbs in the morning like cereal . All you're doing is telling your body to start generating fat on your body first thing in the morning.

If you wait until 10 or 12 before you eat at all, you'll be even more healthier.

Your first meal the day should be protein , and not too much. Almost no one needs more protein than the size of a deck of cards. And if you eat too much protein, your body starts a body process that converts the protein in into carbs (it takes your energy to do this processing as a form of fatigue)

Take a shot of olive oil . You need to do the research and know what real olive oil is. Most olive oil is out there are blend of weirdness off oils from Europe.

Not only is the olive oil extremely good for you , fat satiates, and remove your need to be hungry.

Eat polyphenols . They are in coffee, blueberries, walnuts, pure dark chocolate. There's a whole list on the Internet. Red wine also has polyphenol. But everyone's getting away from drinking there's no reason to drink red wine.

The main thing to understand is the type of bacteria bugs in your stomach determines how hungry you are how often and what you're hungry for. If you stay away from carbs and all the nasty stuff people eat, and instead eat a little kimchi, or truly fermented pickles or pickle juice. This is what a good stomach bugs like to eat. If you get your stomach colonized with the stomach bugs (bacteria) it will regulate your hunger, you don't have it. I've been in the state where I would eat the amount of thin sliced carrots and some green vegetables, about a cup worth, and I went about a month mostly on that diet. I had zero appetite. Eventually, 2 months in, I knew it was healthy to stop. It wasn't a full diet. I lost a lot of real weight in that two month period.

If you eat regular people eat you have bugs in your stomach that make you real in hunger .

The biggest trick of all is the mind trick where you're looking at food in the store and it's complete garbage like the biscotti I was just looking at . And you just stop the voice in your head that wants to buy it and instantly emotionally detached. The biggest thing you can do in the world is not put the bad stuff in the cart in the first place, while simultaneously putting something in the cart that you should eat. Don't worry you'll get hungry enough to eat it. And good food has strange effect in where you start craving it even though it has no supposive 'better taste' acceptance like sugar.

Here's where I get trashed by the mediocre it's fine . I love you (welcome to Costco I love you).

The Soviets were fond of "liquidizing" dissidents. Coincidence?

"Amazon is infamous for clearing out all stock with sales."

You just described pretty much any retail operation....ever. Except, Family Dollar / Dollar General, they still have old stock, at full price, from Halloween 1997.
