We tried these for a while. They work "ok" for a little while but then the product hardens on the porcelain and doesn't really do anything after a while. If you have house keepers or cleaning they usually won't catch that it is there and will scrub it right off prematurely.

I can only say buy these if you want your hopper to smell good for a day or two max. That wears off quickly and IMO these do not clean the porcelain throne at all.

I think they're a little helpful but yeah it's not going to be magic and doesn't help at all above the water line except right under where it is. Smell's good for a few days but definitely diminishes quickly. I also clean my toilet more often than these need replacing and do often accidentally knock them off. I wouldn't say I'm negative or positive on them necessarily but definitely the price has to be right for me.

I use these religiously. They last close to 1-1.5 weeks in the master bathroom. They do make a difference as my water is hard and cleans the ring from where water sits as well as the rest of the bowl when flushed. I do clean my toilet about once a week depending on how nasty it gets with me and my wife. The comment about them hardening only happens in my other bathroom that gets maybe a few flushes a week compared to about 20 times daily with 2 people using a master bathroom. As far as the gel dissapating and whatnot--I've found that if it's right under where water comes out and your use is used a lot more it can last a few days at best.In all honesty this shouldn't warrant a comment this long. I think if you don't use blue or bleach tablets in your tanks or clean your toilet at least a few times a week, this will benefit you. I'm low finally so will be buying like 5 of these

I think people are not using these correctly. I put two on the sides of the upper portion of the bowl, just beneath the rim. The toilet smells amazing for atleast two to three weeks.
