I don't think I've ever seen that for 100, is that possible in a name brand?

If you need a basic miter saw and will put it to use right away, no question this is the one to get. Even when I plan to upgrade, this saw will stay in rotation, and there's a good chance that for this price, I'll buy two more and lock them in at complementary 45's.
If you don't need it, as 45root points out, this price will come around again.
Out of the box, the dust collection is atrocious and will require modification if that's important to you. Stock blade is decent, but after a few months, I upgraded to a CMT blade with more teeth. Now it cuts a little slower but is finish grade for what I'm doing.
The way I've got it set up, I can crosscut 14" by flipping the board over, and I sometimes cheat with an 18" or 20" panel, and finish the connecting cut with a handsaw. For me, I'd rather do this occasionally with a 24lbs saw that doesn't have any perceivable drift than fuss with a 60-80lbs sliding miter that takes a lot more setup.
My 'shop' is a dock space where a truck parks at night, so I do have to pull this thing out and put it away daily. Something to consider for a lot of folks.
Jokes aside, this is an excellent entry level miter saw for the DYI/Homeowner, or for my fellow aspiring woodworkers. The build quality is excellent, and mine was dialed in right out of the box. Has a very reasonable footprint for tight spaces. It's also very light. Ideal for the job site as long as you're not cutting crazy huge crown moldings. I snagged it for $80 last fall, but I seriously doubt we'll see that price again anytime soon, if at all.
