It's crazy how much inflation affected the prices of these…

Anyhow I went for the Lexar NM790 1TB SSD with Heatsink. Lower size but can't beat the price.

Was not inflation. Its the NAND chip manufacturers price fixing, they have been doing it since last year. These got down to 115$ in 2023, then they decided to start price fixing since they were not happy with the prices cratering.
This would be the fourth time in 30 years these companies would have been charged with price fixing.
