I recently replaced one of my fire tablets that I run Home Assistant dashboard with a TBSPG100110027. The specs are slightly different than this one, but it runs a HA dashboard way better than a fire tablet.

I had the first gen of the Onn 10' Pro it had minimal bloat, it was good for a streaming apps like ReVanced YT + music apk, PurpleTV for twitch, and manga reader. Disable Chrome, install Firefox with Ublock Origin extension .

Tip: Turn off window and transition animations in developer options (tap build to unlock developer options) to make it feel less sluggish.

I got a clearance/open box one of these for $45 last year. It's good.

I'll look at them again when they have something with 6 GB RAM and a faster SoC. Apparently the 2024 Onn Pro has Snapdragon 685 and 4 GB which is just a sidegrade [lon.tv] from the 2023 Onn Pro (11-inch gets the 4 GB, 10.4-inch gets 3 GB, same MT8768WA / Helio P22 SoC in both).

But yes it is more expensive but it is just under 200% FASTER. And figure that each 30% is one jump up in CPU tecnology. So it is about 7 generations better!!!
Here are the Specs....
  1. G99 (this is the identical speed as the SD695 - Tab A9+ is this fast
  2. 6GB of RAM ... I wish it had 8GB, they even made a 8GB version but 6GB is a hell of a lot better then 3 GB of RAM
  3. 128 GB hard drive
  4. Micro SD slot
  5. decent sound, 4 LOUD speakers
  6. Screen has a IPS panel (unlike Samsung that uses a TFT for the A9+). It has better viewing angles but not as bright... DECENT.
  7. ALL THIS FOR $90

In my research, I came down to the 11" pro, fire 11 max, and t3. I went with the t3 for $90. The fire software is terrible and onn doesn't have widevine l1. Mine hasn't come in yet but I think it's the best value in this price range if the screen size suits you.

Ordered this and the fire hd 10, all this is going to be used for is a Sonos controller and smart things. Need to decide which tablet will be better for that between the two

fyi for some; this thing is way too slow, and walmart(at least in ny) requires u to return in person.... closest walmart to me is ~40 minutes drive...

i am smart enough NOT to use some chinese noname tablets. at least i can use these onn tablets for my mobile pos terminal or square with my real google and bank accounts. or even a simple amazon app. do you trust your chinese tablets for those?

Older versions of Android like this aren't going to get security updates. I'd do no banking on a tablet. You're probably fine, but the vulnerability is there.

You are correct about cheap Chinese tablets. You couldn't give me one with S25 Ultra specs.
