It's certainly not as underpowered as the Switch 1 (that couldn't even run its marquee launch title at 900/30FPS), so I'd expect at least some recent AAA games to be ported to the Switch 2. If a Steam Deck or Ally Z1 could run it, then the Switch 2 can as well.
My bigger concern is if they wait 8 years again for an update. I'd much prefer if they followed Sony and did a Switch 2 Pro in 3-4 years.
I bet if you actually tried to purchase it now, you'd get an error.
Gamestop knows they dont have to offer any deal for trade in thats why they were offering $65 for a Switch 1 a month ago and Mario World costs $80
it appears theyve been working on the switch 2 since 2020, and did not bother to look ahead regarding hardware. the price point for better chips now vs back then is a completely different game. just feels somewhat outdated already

If you use a third-party accessory or dock? Banned.
If you use an "unauthorized game cart"? Banned.
If you get a used OFFICIAL game cart from someone who did naughty jolly roger things with it? You get banned.
There's zero trust in the second-hand market -- which is what they want to do. You either play the way THEY want you to, or not at all. You don't own this console, you're merely renting it. At half a grand a pop.
