This Lego set is on sale at Amazon for $35.99 and Target for $35.99.

I think the Kohl's $26.99 sale price is slick, especially with free shipping.

I'm getting so jaded about amazing deals on Friends sets that this one (at 6.6 cents/brick) has me on the fence.

I've been leveraging Friends sets as a nice middle ground between the pricey 4+ sets (where I'm honestly paying a premium just for the amazing instructions) and the more involved builds from other traditional LEGO lines.
Friends sets tend to have modular builds with many of the build instruction features seen in 4+ sets. My youngest has done very well with them.
