TLDR: Just finished watching Season 2 last week. Having no background and context to the show (other than being familiar that League of Legends is a very popular MOBA video game), I was initially worried that I would not fully appreciate Arcane, any substories, and plot/story details having never played the game but was pleasantly surprised that was not the case. (If you have played the game, there are Easter egg references that you will apparently appreciate).
If you love a great, complex, multifaceted story that makes you think/reflect after each episode about technology, human behavior and aspirations (for one's self advancement and advancement of society) and what it means to be family…. Then put this on your watchlist this summer when it's a million degrees outside.
Add to this amazing animation that visually rich and original soundtracks in each episode and I had to always restrain myself from wanting to let Netflix autoplay the next episode immediately. Lol
My only critical feedback is that Season 2 should have unfolded across two seasons. There was so much storyline packed into S2 that it felt rushed to get to the end.
