Many (most) polarized sunglasses are not compatible with modern "digital dash" or HUDs in autos. The polarization axis needs to be rotated by 90deg.
Most of not all modern cars have polarized windshields. So for in car lots of people don't like polarized for driving along with other reason as stated in the thread.

Try different polarized glasses. I have owned multiple and thier angle of polarization is different. So you may be able to with straight head and not when tilted and vise versa
