Yes it is. That 5060ti PC is bad. Only suitable for 1080p gaming. For 1080p you'd be better off buying a used $100 PC and slapping a 3060ti, 4060ti, 3070, or 4070 in it for a total of $500 spent. You'd get the same performance.

This 5080 deal is about 2x as fast for only 40% more money.

That's kind of a weird combo but good gpu. I won't buy an HP gaming machine. Just say no to proprietary parts.

4080 Super and 5070ti are very similar in overall performance (4080S is marginally faster with out of the box settings), so IMO not worth $130 more unless you have a very specific reason.

I don't necessarily disagree that a 1080p focused pc can be had for much cheaper or that it wouldn't perform, but a used $100 pc? Maybe there is some single unicorn of a computer on the Facebook marketplace where that's the case, but that is far from readily available or plausible. Maybe someone can find a used decommissioned dell workstation at a recycler for $100 and slap a 3060ti in it, but the chances of the average person being able to do that easily are pretty low.

Omen's don't use proprietary parts. They have standard mobo holddown locations and PSU connections, so anything can be swapped out. But they still have a more locked down bios.

Really? Well I stand corrected. I assumed they were still using at least some proprietary parts such as the motherboard. That's good to know.
