In for 1! I've been following this product for a long time and hardly ever see it on sale. I've read good reviews about this unit and plan to use it for podcasting.

I just wanted to double check - can the receiver directly output to 1/8" audio cable (and plugged into a sound board) so that these can be used simply as wireless mics (and not attached to any other DJI equipment)?

DJI 1 Mic is over $100 cheaper at Amazon. Is this worth an extra $100?

If you choose the used option, an additional savings of $60 for Prime Days is deducted, making the total $140 and change.

Mic 2 has Bluetooth and can connect to my Action 4 without the receiver. It also has noise cancelation. I am debating between the two as well but if I buy the mic 2. I won't have as much bulk on my camera.

Yes, they can transmit and record at the same time, no problem

This is tempting but I went with the used Like New DJI Mic Mini that has additional 15-20% off. One feature that I like about the Mic 2 is that it can store audio to be synced later but I didn't know how tedious this would be for casual use so decided on the Mic Mini and using the Insta360 software.

So... dumb question: I want to get microphones and pair them up with a JBL partybox speaker for karaoke. I was originally thinking these, but they're $150 https://www.amazon.com/JBL-PartyB...0CTDJ45M4/ .
The DJI Mic 2 costs way more, but it comes with 2 transmitters and I could also use it with my Pocket 3.

Would it be possible to connect? I'm assuming it would be: DJI mics connect to the receiver, the receiver connects via a wire to the Mic input on the speaker? Lastly, I can still use either a Bluetooth connection from my phone or an audio cable from a portable projector to the speaker?

Edit: it works. I had to get a 3.5mm TRS cable to 1/4" TR or 1/4" TRS cable from the receiver to the microphone input on the JBL Partybox 310.

I had a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable which worked when switching to AUX, but then I wasn't getting Bluetooth from the phone. The microphone inputs always work. More portable than the JBL microphones and more flexible. I can buy some cheapo AliExpress or Etsy microphone handles for the DJI mics for karaoke or use it as regular with the Pocket 3.

Really like my Mic 1, but it's just too competent at what it does to warrant an upgrade.
