1440p is way better than 1080p, even at the pixels per inch that 1080p is at at 24.5 inches.

that depends on what your goals are. If your goal is to hit 360hz competitive gaming (Fornite, Valorant) on a 5060ti then you're gonna need a 1080p monitor like this one. If your goal is 165Hz 1440p gaming on a 5060 ti then get a different monitor. Are you going to see a competitive advantage at 1080p 360Hz in a fast paced fps as opposed to 165Hz 1440p? I'd argue the pros would say absolutely. I have both types of monitors and for sure in FPS I always use my 1080p.

I made the upgrade myself. It's significant.

FPS/hz has diminishing returns. I haven't seen it myself but I've read that 240 hz is the sweet spot.

360 hz is definitely the sweet spot. I run 360 hz at 1440 on OLED, 500 hz on IPS, and 360 hz on zowie. Zowie is definitely the best for FPS

I play competitive fortnite on this monitor (maybe model before, but Alienware 1080 360hz). No complaints.
