This is a good price, but I think having the burner kind of misses the point. The "original" style with the metal decanter holds the heat super well and your coffee tastes good and not overcooked. Either way it's a worthwhile investment, especially if you aren't sensitive to that hideous color.

This is a great price. I think I paid a little less during the pandemic in store fire sale for an open box. Great price considering everything else.

Best coffee pot I've ever owned. 1000% worth this price. I paid at least double a year or two ago and it has been more than worth what I paid.

Well that's a much more neutral color that won't look crazy in your kitchen. I love the look of these machines and they're highly regarded for making good coffee, but I went with the much simpler OXO Brew 8-Cup Coffee Maker, which is also on sale.

Ok, can someone please school me on this? What makes this worth 10x the price of a "Mr. Coffee"?

Looks like it heats the water, sprinkles it over the grounds, then collects it in a carafe that sits over a warming plate...

What am I missing?

I came here to say after having the gray one for a while I'd rather have red. I usually don't like colors I just get stainless steel. Feels more gray than stainless steel to me, slightly depressing. I would've done right if I could do it again. I went from I don't like red to I don't mind red
