Unless you use the cable you have a slower charging speed and more electrical capacity loss using MagSafe to charge. This essentially means you are getting less actually charging capacity from this battery pack with MagSafe compared to using a cable . This may or may not be relevant for you but you should be aware of that.

It is all about convenience, ofc for all kind of connections, wire is mostly better

I hate wireless charging on a bank as posted above, but the Magsafe keeps it on the unit solidly while I charge using the cable. It's still more convenient.
