I have these. I cleaned the machining oils off with a light dawn and water. Let them sit in the sun for two days and haven't thought about the rubber / plastic smell since. I okayed about $0.70 a lbs for my collection and couldn't really be more happy. The smell and the fact the 10lbs are a tad week are the inky drawbacks. I unit use the 10s if I know I'm not going to drop them. Or back they with a heavier 25+ lbs weight. Have not had a issue with these in nearing 2 years of use .

These vs CAP bumper plates for $260?
The CAP plates "feel" more quality. They are composed of a harder rubber. I have both.

I've had many of these weights from prior SlickDeals posts a few months ago. They did stink at first but the smell went away on its own. They're all racked in my living room. These are great to own and use.

I've been really happy with the signature fitness / fitvids sf-ss1 rack. it's a rogue monster lite clone with 11 gauge 3x3 steel using 5/8 hardware. $255 for the squat stand or $400 for the half rack. it's a standard 3x3 rack so all the attachments from rogue Titan and bells of steel work perfectly. https://a.co/d/4EECrf7

($199.98 for 300 lb weight set that includes the Olympic bar) Did that deal at Dick's Sporting Goods already get posted somewhere else? I had no idea prices had come down this much on weight sets. Anyway, I think this deal at Dick's ends today, Wednesday, July 9. I'm shopping in Oregon. Best of luck everyone! Get SWOLE!!!!!
seems like their whole site is down atm. If this is the same set I got with the steel plates, which I think it is, it's pretty nice. Note the 300lbs includes the 45lb bar. The plates are way smaller that equivalents I've seen, including the 45lb. It's roughly 30% smaller in diameter than a bumper plate and ~1.5" thick. I used a luggage scale and they all weighed correct +/- 0.1lbs (which is the error rate of the scale so take that FWIW.) Also has a nice smooth clear-coat like finish, not rough like some plates, so it won't scratch up your ring or watch when handling them.

Most people may not care about this but I appreciate this because my pulley system is 2:1, meaning I have to stack 2x the weight on it. For the most part this isn't a big deal but for the few things I do that require a good bit of weight, like seated rows, I wouldn't be able to fit enough bumper plates on the plate horns. This isn't a humble brag either, I'm not doing crazy weight, but if you want to do say, 120lbs, you have to stack 240lbs worth of plates on a 2:1.

I got a generic Mikolo m4 off temu for ~$500 shipped. Pretty happy with it. But the M4 2.0 is supposed to come out this month with weight stacks. Regardless if you get a mikolo or something else, I highly recommend getting something with weight stacks for the pulleys. If I did it all over again I would. And I would find a system with 2:1 AND 1:1 pulley option (essentially both climbing hooks terminate at the handles.) Especially if you have multiple people using it. Swapping weight plates between routines, especially ones where the weight amounts are drastically different, is a huge time suck. It's also like a second mini workout moving the plates off and on between routines, which isn't a bad thing, but definitely minimizes my chances of getting in a quick workout.

I bought fitness reality with pulley system last year from amazon for $400. I like it so far.
