I've been drinking unflavored protein powder in water for years. It's supposed to be a convenient way to consume protein, not an artificially sweetened candy milkshake

Mine shows $35.67 before S&S checkout and then at checkout jumps to $37.76? Is that normal?

Far from a prot expert, but this is concentrate. Hydrolized>isolate>concentrate. Note this as unflavored is 76% protein per volume. While the Dymatize chocolate Woot deal is 78% with flavoring. That's due to the more pure protein.

Very pure bill of ingredients: no thickeners or sweeteners.

Of course it's possible to flavor this and make a palatable shake or recipe out of it.

76% is pretty good as far as powders go. It's a pretty good deal at this price, better than the really cheap powders with <70% protein.

So this is cheaper vs dymatize with only 2% difference for protein? But hydrolized is 2x > concentrate?
TIA

I've tried this protein before, it's alright. Good price per g of protein. It's unflavored but the texture is pretty ick imo. I usually mix it with matcha and milk to drown it out

No need. I just was low on protein and made it easier to calculate price per pound equivalent.

For some people, protein concentrate is a fart machine. Isolate and hydrolized are easy on stomach.

Dymatize ISO100 contains sucralose.

This alone makes this is a better deal, in my opinion. But then there's also the fact that this is sold at 5LB (47 cents per ounce) and the ISO100 deal posted elsewhere is 3LB.

Also, nobody needs hydrolyzed whey protein. Sales or no sales, milk protein isolate or whey concentrate will always be better dollar for dollar over hydrolyzed whey protein than the benefits these companies tout in their marketing. If you're wondering if it's "worth it" or "which one is better", this is the answer. If you don't know if you should buy hydrolyzed whey protein powder, then you're not the target demographic.

Eat more fiber. Or add psyllium husk fiber. Either way, more fiber.

Good deal! I add a scoop of this into a Vitamix to make a blueberry smoothie. No artificial crap in my shake.

Buy the Dymatize. It is much better tasting. This is a good deal if you make a lot of shakes with other stuff like fruit and oats. This isn't good for just plain protein shakes.
