The video on the page is pretty informative, shows 4 different videos how people use them.

(serious question) The one picture shows this being used on a beach, how would you hook that up using a water hose source?

Typically these systems are not high enough pressure to produce a fine MissT

You get much better results with a fan that has Mr. built into it such as the Ryobi bucket top fan

A beach? Don't be ridiculous. They're obviously using it on THEIR beach.

Theoretically, If I collected rain water in a barrel, (like a 500 Gal barrel) and bought like 20 of these to install under my eve surrounding the perimeter of the house, installed a pump in the rain barrel, put everything on a timer, and then set these things to turn on and mist my Florida concrete block home at the peak of the heat, how much AC would I save?

I had these, they drip and stop misting after a couple weeks. They are hard to keep taught and straight they stretch and start to sag under water pressure, heat and cold. Installing a hard water filter kinda helps. This might work well if zipped tied to a fan. Then you can take off the copper mister pieces and soak them in Lima away regularly. The professional ones are made of copper tubing those compared to this are night and day.

The real question you should be asking yourself is, "How likely am I to survive legionnaires disease?"

What? He said he lives in Florida, don't bother him with basic things like that....
