Both are excellent deals. Your statement that the Dewalt set has less filler items is false, if we are counting hex bits and hex wrenches as filler items. The Dewalt set actually has more of those. So the choice is paying $14 more for a few more sockets, or getting fewer sockets in trade for a lower price and ratcheting wrenches. It's nice to have the option of either, as both are premium grade tool sets at a very low price.

came in yesterday. heavy package was just a thick plastic bag with the case inside, had a few tears, but seemed fine. Opened it up and lots of sockets loose inside and one of the buckle area of the case was cracked a bit. Two of the smallest sockets missing.
Cant see returning it, but am a little annoyed.

Something this heavy and pricey should have been packed in a box with some padding. I would definitely send a nastygram to VIP with some photos showing the consequences of their lazy packing job. If nothing else, a partial refund or replacement is in order since you paid for brand new condition.

This is USED item. VIPoutlet buy Walmart returns and sells them. You will get missing or broken pieces.

I just got mine. They shipped it in a bag instead of a box. I don't think that it liked it (some scratches and scuffs and some holes in the bag) and everything was dislodged from its slots inside the case.

I had to put everything back where it goes. Other than that it's a solid deal. But they really should be using boxes.

I see on the walmart site I still have a while to do a return and it can be done at a local store, so I will order another set to try again since its still on sale. m(update: Walmart was out of stock but ebay order went through.)
