The fad is well past its peak. This is what happens when a basic cup meets a TikTok trend – suddenly everyone needs a vacuum-insulated status symbol to hold their emotional support water. The true believers are still collecting them and have an open spot where their beanie babies were at one time but most people have moved on.

It is a decent cup but the market is flooded with equals and similar in function if that is all you really want.

There's a lot of truth to what you wrote. But it is better in terms of keeping water cold than a lot like them. I would never overpay for one. I saw the new Starbucks exclusive one last week, but I passed.
I'm old enough to remember the Nalgene plastic bottle, Livestrong bracelets, Beanie Babies as you mentioned, the Hydroflask that's trying to hang on, and the Yeti that is just ok. Fads are gonna fad. Then fade.

It's not necessarily a judgement, they're just listing fads

Since when $27 for a cup is a deal. They marked it up and discounted to a high price and people think is a deal.
