Not really, for joints you want glucosamine and chondroitin, MSM, fish oil, etc.

If you have knee pain, you should talk to doctor about exercising muscle groups that support the knee. Also about areas along IT band, or more so the surrounding muscle groups. The reason I mention a doctor is just in case you have any health conditions that won't agree with what I suggested.
