That is an absurdly low price. Never seen a knife set sold in a blister pack before.

If you know how to sharpen and can maintain these, they should work great, their only drawbcak from being so cheap is edge-retention.

It says they're "dishwasher safe", this is the same as "Flushable wipes are flushable".
No knife EDGE is dishwasher safe. Dishwasher soap contains tiny abrasives that are there to knock dirt off dishes through agitation. These same abrasives will attack the edge of your knife over time.

I am getting them for my uncle. He just graduated from the Denny's Culinary Academy on his 4th try.

Seems like a good deal for a forged set, not expecting top of the line based on price, but $10 for forged set with blade guards seems like a steal for the right use case like college or first apartment/house.

I think I saw these at TJ Maxx the other day for like $15-$20. This price is a no brainer for those who are looking for a beginner's set or something cheap.

Plus it says "top rack safe" in the dishwasher, so if people miss that then they're in for a surprise.
