Great deal, even cheaper than when it was last posted. All the higher end Zwilling knives are made in German factories. Forged, not stamped. These are shipped and sold by Amazon Germany which is why it has longer shipping. This isn't a fly by night seller. Same return policy.
This is not the middle tier or lower end stuff made in India or some other third world country. These are the good ones.
The larger knife is 150 by itself.
This is a great deal for great knives that will last a lifetime with proper care.
FYI, do not put these in dishwasher regardless of what the recommendations are.
Hand wash only for longevity.
Just buy them, you won't regret it.

-1 ? Seriously? Guessing someone wasn't happy with the Walmart comment.

I order these the last time they were posted for $88.64. Ordered June 17, delivered July 10th.
Great knives for a great price but take a while to ship.

I already have 2 in this set but cannot resisit the low price. I am still using my 30 yr-old chef knife and the paring knife is still good after 10 years.

People have mixed opinions about the bolster. I prefer a knife without one to make the sharpening simpler for myself. Great price though! Will last you a long time as long as you maintain them, and potentially open you up to the even higher end knife world (which I have no money to dive into lol)

still I am really tempted to buy this, but I really dun need three chef knives with two from Zwilling lol

I couldn't find any mention of 'High-Carbon' on the product page.

You obviously know NOTHING about knives, let alone German knives made in Solingen.
Stick to your Walmart 10.99 set.

great deal, a no brainer if you've got a bit of pateince for it to arrive. zwilling also has a bolster-less Pro line. they're easier to sharpen and pinch grip is a bit more comfortable. OP's knife bundle has the more traditional features of a German kitchen knife.

Sorry if I am not saying it properly but I do like this type of knife where the handle and the blade is smoothly connected.
Other type of knife where blade is inserted to handle seems get rusty in long time...

the choice of hardness allows these knives to cut and take some abuse without chipping the cutting edge. these can tackle some jobs the japanese knives cannot. so, even if you love japanese knives the most, you're still gonna want some "sacrificial" knife for when you fear your japanese knife will suffer damage. These are beyond "beater" knives, you may be able to get byu with any western style forged knife (all that means is a knife blade that is wider on the back spine, and a steal that is softer). It's those two traits that allow the western knife to handle some difficult or abusive tasks without being damaged.

unless they're fake rivets in the handle designed to fool customers, you can simply look at the handle and observe if it has rivets all the way down fairly close to the pommel of the knife

Ordered. Said there was only 1 left in stock, so hopefully, I get it.

I'm going to hide these from my wife so she doesn't put them in the dishwasher!
