Not sure if this will change your mind, but to answer your question, these don't work like traditional earplugs that just block sound by creating a barrier in your ear, making everything sound muffled. They function more like a volume control, reducing loudness without significantly affecting clarity. So at events like concerts, you can still enjoy the experience without compromising the sound quality.

I'm wearing my sleep loop earplugs while writing this. They are incredible and worth the money.

If you are doing the indoor club sport thing with your kids (volleyball, basketball), these are great for cutting down the noise from whistles and screaming, but you can actually still hear enough to carry on a conversation (although you probably shouldn't if you're talking smack with another parent near the livestream camera).

FYI Loop earplugs are awesome. I've got a number of sets and use them when I workout in a class with loud music.

almost $30 for earplugs.... Am I high right now? Can someone please tell me how this is better than just using disposable ones?

These are great for concerts and fests, and designed well so that someone can't accidentally smack your ear while everyone's jumping around and it gets lodged into your ears because of design of the loops prevents that. Also easy to remove and I like the subtle design as it doesn't stick out of your ear from a mile away.

Thanks I needed another pair after I left my last ones in an Uber after a concert. These are great! Music sounds crystal clear while blocking out the chompers around you.

Mind was not made up just uninformed. Thank you for the detail response! Might grab one of these before next concert because I am that "old person" wearing plugs to protect my ears.

I tried a set of eargasm plugs last night at red rocks and did feel it took away too much treble and clarity for me. Am I on Crack? Wonder if I should try these. I feel like just wish they made variable or adjustable ones

The Loops actually have a small opening in the loop part that lets in some sound. This has the effect of lowering the volume without muffling or completely blocking out everything.

They have a couple different models, this one is designed for concerts while they do have some that completely block everything that are designed for sleep or quiet activities.
