Don't know why others are saying it's discontinued, unless I'm missing something.

Edit to add full link with the item number in it for better transparency

FYI, when using the ASIN, there's two easy ways to pull up the item.

1. Search in Amazon with the ASIN. Easiest and most reliable.
2. Add the ASIN to the end of https://www.amazon.com/gp/

If "gp" doesn't work, try "dp". With this ASIN, "gp" says "sorry this page can't be fine, but here's a picture of a cute doggo instead!" Using "dp" will get you to the right page.

I've used side cutter can openers in the past and the only difference I've seen is that it moves the sharp edge from the lid to the can.

Why is this one better?

Matter of preference… I'd rather have the one that has an opener on it and cheaper

There is no strict standard on on how tall the lip of the can should be. As a result if the lip is too high the blade cannot dig deep enough into the metal - which means the user has to struggle to make it turn as it cuts through the metal. The side can opener it's often much easier. Especially if you have arthritic hands.

I don't get it, is the joke that people under 30 don't use can openers?
