It's just a little too tall for what I need, tempted to get it tho and replace the legs with some shorter ones from ikea. Would be mounting a 98" tv over it

I would think that would work. You can also probably just shorten the existing legs with a saw, and buy some rubber plugs or furniture pads to put on the cut off part if you want. Depending on the thread size of the legs, you could also find some at other hardware stores. For example -

Of course you can just not use the legs at all and just set it on the floor.
