Don't see why not. The N97 scores higher than what I used (i-5 6500t) on benchmarks. Should work fine for the games you mentioned.

I got one of these straight from GMKtec. Installed a fresh Win 11 and everything was flawless. Using it as a music player (JRiver) and works great. I wanted to try this brand looking forward to a new HTPC in the coming months. Very pleased.

Would this be good for running 24 hours a day for a modded minecraft gaming server?

Slightly more gets you more power, a more modern CPU, and is way more energy efficient (about half the power usage).

Minecraft servers are heavily CPU-bound, often requiring strong single-threaded performance, so stay away from this N97 or any of the N series. Many recommend at least a mid-range desktop CPU (e.g., Intel i5, Ryzen 5) for smooth performance, especially with multiple players or larger modpacks

doesnt seem a great deal since 16GB/500SSD N100 Mini Pc's are ~$150 all day long on Amazon?

A quick search pulled up a Beelink (reputable AFAIK) N100 16GB 500GB SSD, beats this in all key aspects for 149

Is gmktec just that much more respected a brand or something than beelink? I honestly dont know. I've used beelink.

Edit: Is very small and cute if those are primary objectives.

Edit: I kinda want it it's so cute lol. would make a neat emulation/security camera/whatever box. but i'm guessing i would never actually use it. and maybe when i find a use two years from now, i'd worry the specs would be too outdated.
