If ordered online, Target deducts $15 from the items and adds an additional line item for the $15 GC, so it shows as a discount. Hence, you must have a total of $65-15(gc)=50 to be eligible for the rebate.
If done in store, unless things have changed recently, the items show the original price with a free GC line, so you can have a total of $50-15(gc)=35 and still be eligible.

Wrong. However the OP math is wrong. Basically, spend $50 out of your pocket and get a $15 gc. So in essence spending $50 to get $65 worth of stuff.
Wrong. You somehow completely missed the P&G rebate everyone is talking about...

Dang. I just spent $48.50 on charmin and added some straws to make it $50 for the $15 gift card. Hopefully amazon has a deal similar before the P&G promo expires

You're allowed to submit multiple receipts to P&G, so your target receipt can still count towards the $50 total

I'm waiting until tomorrow when using Circle card discounts 10% and not 5%. I also had a 3.00 coupon for Bounty.
Where did you find it discounts 10%? All I could find was 10% off gift cards

I realize this is Target and after discounts seems like a good deal but I stopped buying Bounty. Does Amazon have Bounty specially made for them? My wife and I were disappointed when we bought to large packs and have since gone back to Viva Signature which is $19.99 at Walmart for an 8 = 24 package. Much better in my view. We also stopped buying Brawny which like Bounty seems to have changed.

I just bought on target and here was the receipt, should be no problem.
I think you screenshot the order and not the invoice. You'll have to submit the invoice for the rebate. The invoice will show a line item such as this along with any other discounts you received on the order:
$15 Target GiftCard with $50 select cleaning supplies -$15.00

By including this as a discount on your invoice, it puts you under 50.00 so you wouldn't qualify for the 15.00 rebate from P&G. Target makes it confusing for sure.

I made sure to get subtotal over 65.00. Even with the Red Card 2.64 discount, I'm over 65.00 so when Target does the invoice and lists their 15.00 card discount, I'm still at or above 50.00 to qualify for the P&G rebate.

This is what I ordered:

4 (6 count) Triple rolls at 16.99 ea

Subtotal $67.96
Discounts
-$2.64
Target Circle Card 5% -$2.64
Shipping Free
Tax $3.52

Total
$68.84

I've never done the ordering of multiple different P&G items on the same or different receipts for a single rebate. I will try that now because I need some Tide. I didn't want 65.00 worth of Tide so good to know I can buy several different items for a single rebate.

These are not receipts, so they may decline your submission. If you pull up an actual receipt or invoice, you'll see that Target treats the bonus GC as a discount applied across items.

🎯 is weird. i do these gc deals a lot, both in store & online. in store, sometimes i get a gc, other times i get $15 off (def prefer the latter). this happened dec last year, 2 days apart & the same store, same gc offer. manager couldn't even explain. i hate the way online they appear to charge you for the gc, even get a seperate reciept. some slick accounting trick on their part.

It depends on the offer. It can be advertised as either spend $50, get $15 GC, or as spend $50, get $15 off. The GC version seems to be more common, and I actually prefer it since I can roll a Target GC purchased with one of their 10% off offers, so then the net is spending $35 of GC (spend $50 GC and receive $15 GC) for $50 of product + $15 rebate. With 10% off on the original GC, it's a net spend of $31.50.

Rebates in 2025 !? lol
Agreed. Especially with all the gray area potentials to be rejected in this particular deal. Too high a chance of ending up with a closet full of paper towels and PTSD by pulling trigger on this.

I've done P&G rebates forever. I've done tons. Never ever have I been declined. If you are too afraid of them or unsure how to complete the form, then please stay away but you're missing out on some good deals. The rebate cards recently have been showing up in about 2 weeks after submitting the rebate.

This is like place at least a 65.00 order for P&G products and get 30.00 free. I count the rebate and gift cards as money. They spend the same.

I paid $68.84 for my order but after the gift card and rebate, it will have cost me 38.84. I think it's great savings. I always do these Target deals with P&G rebates to stock up on paper towels.
