Assuming you're actually in New Hampshire... The existing crabgrass should die off over the winter, and if this is applied early enough in the spring "it should prevent" germination of new crabgrass. It works to an extent. You'll still get crabgrass, just maybe less? It's a fertilizer too, so there's that, regardless of it's crabgrass eliminating efficiency. I'm trying prodiamine with a general fertilizer next year instead of this
