Boost offers "blue truck" delivery as their premier and cheapest option. You CANNOT tip "blue truck" Kroger delivery drivers. These are proper Kroger employees -- not gig workers. If you only have instacart in your area (or you choose to use it for timing reasons), then you are subject to instacart rules, somewhat sketchier delivery (because it is an instacart employee, not a Kroger employee, who is picking), and you might be able to tip. FWIW, I LOVE Boost. Blue truck delivery has been nearly flawless for our deliveries, and we've had literally hundreds of them (really!). Join now and you should qualify for the mid-July Boost Bonus days (like prime days) where some silly cheap deals will happen. At half off, this is a no-brainer if you normally shop at Kroger.

To clarify for people:

Boost Essential is $69 / year ($34.50 with promo) and includes free next-day delivery from Kroger trucks and Kroger employees. Tipping is not allowed. Includes 6 months streaming.

Boost is $99 / year ($49.50 with promo) and includes free same-day delivery through Instacart drivers. Tipping is encouraged. Includes streaming for the full year.

You may only have the option of one of the two plans depending on your location.

You can extend your membership when they have these 50% off promos. Mine currently goes through 2028 because I added multiple years at the $34 price.

The Essential plan is great. No tipping, can schedule delivery early mornings, easy refunds if anything is wrong.

Thanks - was thinking about doing this just for the espn+ membership for my dad since I cancelled our youtube tv (sooooo much money). Now I'm stuck with $500 in google play credit (was 20% off) on my account so will have to re-enable it at some point - maybe when football starts this fall again.

According to Reddit, it's not expected but it varies by region if they're kroger employees or Instacart/Shipt delivery. I know on pickup they're not supposed to take tips, but I always tip a couple bucks anyway.

Absolutely love Kroger delivery. There are no Kroger stores by me so as a result (maybe this is the case everywhere) the food comes straight from the warehouse. It is far fresher than anything you'll find in a grocery store.

I don't have a Kroger in my area but this deal is worth it for the streaming benefit alone. ESPN+ is going up in price to $120 annually in August.
