Honestly, there is little difference. This will likely cost you a bit less than AMD when taking into account the whole package (especially if you go for the 3D cache AMD CPUs) but also AMD will likely offer you a chance at a meaningful update in say 5 years without updating Mobo whereas this is end of the line for Intel. Anyway, I would just do the math and buy what is cheaper as a package over 5 years unless you have some highly specific use case which makes one beat the other more significantly.

So just found out myself the hard way that there is an inherit latency with the 15th generation Intel chipsets and PCIe Gen 5 NVMe drives. Instead of getting the rated 14K reads it maxes out at slightly above 12K on a Z890 board FYI.

Gen 4 drives bench pretty much as expected.
